"What’s Obvious to You Might Be Life-Changing for Someone Else"
When you’re creating a mini course, it’s easy to overthink your idea. You might feel the urge to come up with something big, bold, or entirely new. But here’s the truth: what feels simple or obvious to you might be exactly what your future clients need.
Sometimes the work we do as coaches revolves around things we’ve already internalized. Things that feel natural, logical, or even easy now. Yet for someone else, it can be a complete shift in perspective.
Take my Elements Mix Test for example. It’s a short and simple tool I use to help people reflect on their natural tendencies and working style. For me, this framework feels second nature. I’ve been working with it for years. But for my clients it’s often a huge eye-opener.
I can also relate to first time explorers. I still remember the first time I came across this idea myself. Learning that I’m a classic Air type, curious, quick-thinking, always jumping from idea to idea, helped me understand why certain things energize me and others drain me. It wasn’t just interesting. It was practical. It revealed blind spots I didn’t even know I had.
Another example. I once created a free mini course called 10 Key LinkedIn Tips. For people who know LinkedIn inside out, this might seem obvious or even basic. But for many professionals who feel stuck, invisible, or unsure how to start, these 10 tips offer clarity, structure, and immediate action they wouldn’t have found on their own. Again, small shifts, big impact.
That’s the power of clarity. Not reinventing the wheel. Not building something huge. Just offering one small, clear shift in perspective that helps people see themselves or their challenges in a new light.
